Earlier today, my Betta hendra pair successfully spawned. This is their first spawn, and the first step towards ensuring a secure future for this species in my fish room.
Meanwhile, I had my first ever batch of free-swimming fry out of my F1 Betta coccina pair. It appears that there was only a small number of fry, which is slightly disappointing, but the pair are young, and this was their first spawn in a new tank, away from the rest of their siblings.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, I currently keep and breed a number of species from the coccina complex.
